Finding dinner near Disneyland sounds easy until everyone is tired and hungry, and the restaurant turns out to be in the opposite direction from your hotel.
The most convenient choice is not always the restaurant closest to Disneyland. I first check whether dinner fits naturally into the walk back to the hotel. This matters after a full park day, especially with young children, a stroller, or older family members.

I have eaten at Mimi’s Cafe, California Pizza Kitchen, and The Cheesecake Factory. Each visit served a different purpose. Mimi’s was an early breakfast. CPK was a relaxed afternoon meal with friends. The Cheesecake Factory was a busy Monday dinner with my family.
My family usually prefers simple, lightly seasoned food. We do not care for dishes with too much sweetness, salt, or heavy sauce. Why the complete route matters: A restaurant ten minutes from Disneyland might add a twenty-minute detour when your family walks there and then returns in the opposite direction. The extra distance feels longer at night when children are tired or someone in the group has difficulty walking.
Families staying south along Harbor Boulevard will find The Pizza Press along a more natural route. Mimi’s Cafe makes more sense for hotels north of the pedestrian entrance. CPK and The Cheesecake Factory fit hotels near Katella Avenue or Anaheim GardenWalk.
Leaving Disneyland for a short meal also means walking back and passing through security again. These restaurants make more sense before park entry, after leaving for the day, or during a planned long break.
1. The Pizza Press: For a Quick, Customizable Meal
The Pizza Press is located at The Anaheim Hotel, south of the Disneyland pedestrian entrance. Each person orders an individual pizza and selects the sauce, cheese, and toppings.
The format is useful when family members want different toppings. Counter service also takes less time than a traditional sit-down meal. Families looking for a broad dinner menu might prefer another restaurant.
The Anaheim location lists late hours on its official page. Check the current schedule before leaving Disneyland after nighttime entertainment. I have not ordered from this location, so I include it for its south Harbor location and ordering format rather than as a personal food review.

2. Mimi’s Cafe: An Early Sit-Down Breakfast
I visited Mimi’s Cafe around 7:30 in the morning. Our table ordered Brioche French Toast, a Santa Fe Omelet, Four Buttermilk Griddlecakes served Le Grand Style, and coffee.
Ordering the griddlecakes Le Grand Style added two eggs and a choice of protein. Our table had sweet and savory breakfast choices without everyone ordering the same type of food.
Mimi’s fits families with children, adults, and older relatives. One person might want pancakes while another prefers an omelet.
The Harbor Boulevard location opens early enough for breakfast before Disneyland.
The tradeoff is time. Breakfast at 7:30 leaves less room for families focused on reaching the gate before park opening. Seating, ordering, eating, and paying take longer than breakfast in a hotel room.
I would choose Mimi’s on a morning when sitting down together matters more than reaching the entrance first. A family following a strict rope-drop plan might prefer something faster.

3. California Pizza Kitchen: A Relaxed Meal With Friends
I visited California Pizza Kitchen at Anaheim GardenWalk around 2 to 3 p.m. with two or three friends. The dining room was not crowded when we arrived. Our server was friendly, and the food came out without a long delay.
We ordered Thai Chicken Pizza, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Neapolitan Burrata Pizza, and peach lemonade. The restaurant also brought bread with butter, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
Sharing several dishes worked well for our group. The food tasted consistent with earlier visits, and the price felt reasonable for our order.
CPK suits a family whose members want different foods without working through the much larger Cheesecake Factory menu.
Our midafternoon visit was quiet, but dinner might feel different. I would choose CPK for a relaxed meal rather than a fast stop with tired children.
GardenWalk is most convenient for hotels near Katella Avenue or southeast of Disneyland. Families staying farther along Harbor Boulevard should check the complete route before walking over.

4. The Cheesecake Factory: Our Monday Family Dinner
My family visited The Cheesecake Factory at Anaheim GardenWalk on a Monday evening. The restaurant was busy, so we made a reservation before arriving.
We ordered Lemon-Garlic Shrimp, Fettuccini Alfredo, and Factory Chopped Salad. For dessert, we shared a slice of Original Cheesecake and a slice of Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.
The Lemon-Garlic Shrimp was my favorite entrée, and I would order it again. The salad also gave our table a lighter choice alongside the pasta and dessert.
The complimentary bread basket came with butter. I especially liked the dark brown bread. The bread was soft and slightly sweet, and the warm slices tasted good with butter. Sometimes I buy a packaged version at the market when I want a similar bread at home.
The large menu helps when family members want different foods. The same menu takes time to read when everyone is tired, so looking before arriving makes ordering easier.
Reservation and GardenWalk Parking
During this visit, The Cheesecake Factory validated our GardenWalk parking for three hours. Parking rates and validation periods change, so ask the restaurant about the current terms before depending on the same allowance.
A reservation made sense for our busy Monday dinner. Online reservations are limited, and walk-in seating remains available. Check the current method before arriving.
This would not be my choice for the fastest meal after Disneyland. I would return for a planned family dinner, especially for the Lemon-Garlic Shrimp, brown bread, and cheesecake.
